After I lost a Franken 3717-02 (don’t ask), I just replaced it with this used Gen 3717-02 a few months ago and mounted this new strap that I’ve been trying to get perfect. The datewheel tends to be a problem with these models from my personal experience and sometimes doesn’t change right at midnight too. I also have the 3717-01 and have had to get that fixed too. Reps here are usually pristine. why??? strap is stunning though. If I was a guy who was going to wear one watch my whole life I would choose a gen and probably not worry too much about scratches and dings. They’re going to happen sometime and the watch will build its character and age with me. However being the guy who’s fallen into the rep rabbit hole and wants dozens of watches in rotation, I kinda want that new watch feeling every time I change my watch.
