I agree, buy a gen Omega. I have a couple, and they are reasonably priced, especially second hand, yet very well respected. I have a cousin who is quite wealthy, who owns probably around 50 watches ranging in price from $5-6k to $30-40k and when he saw my Omega SM GMT 50th anniversary this last weekend he noticed it right away and talked to me about it for 10 minutes, about how he has always wanted one and now that he saw mine he is gonna try to track one down. Mind you I paid $1300 for it. Beautiful watch.
