Asian ETA 2824-2 or Swiss SW-200?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at Josh's "ultimate" AP ROO Diver (which does look jolly nice).

Base price is USD $298.

This includes an Asian ETA 2824-2......

or, for an additional USD $65, it can be supplied with a

Swiss SW-200 (Selitta?) gold (plated I Imagine) mov't, 25j, 28000 vph.

Is this worth the extra bucks in terms of quality, reliability etc, or is the base A-2824-2 the one to go with?

Advice, opinions sought.

Thanks in advance........................

I don't think they've repped the Selitta yet, the movements are available after-market, so you'd be getting a genuine Swiss mov't over an Asian clone, the SW-200 is an excellent movement!

I didn't think they had either but Trailboss was saying that he was expecting a rep SW200 to arrive at his!

I am tempted to go with the SW200 too - Sellita seems to be the way forward :kenny:

I wasn't aware that they had cloned the Sellita yet, if so, it must be very recent, can't see why they would bother, they're readily available, oh, well, just more controversy :kenny:
