cobn 0 Posted June 26, 2011 Hey guys, just recieved a brilliant looking tag heuer carrera with quart and working chrono but only one thing bothers me: the stop-timer-hand is a bit wobbly. about 1sec. if you bent or tilt the watch, the hand jumps/moves about 1sec. to the left and if you bent it again, it jumps back to its previous position. any idea how to fix that problem? looks like the hand is a bit loose or some gear might not work the way it should work best regards lars
powderfreak 0 Posted June 26, 2011 I know what you mean, had the same issue twice! Not much you can do about it, I tried to fix it but it didn't work.
pfcdre 0 Posted June 26, 2011 Hi cobnson is it a loose hand may need to take the movement and dial out and see if the hand is placed on the movement securely, just an idea im not a watchsmith good luck mate
powderfreak 0 Posted June 26, 2011 damn Yeah, quite annoying, but I have drawn my consequences, next time I make sure the watch doesn't have any of those flaws.

powderfreak 0 Posted June 26, 2011 yeah but its for my father 60th birthday, so i have to find a way to fix it Well, in that case, open it and see if the hand is maybe just a bit loose on the canon. I guess that won't help much, but if you are lucky, maybe, maybe that's all you need to to....
cobn 0 Posted June 26, 2011 yeah, just opened the caseback, but i just have to find out how to get the whole movement incl. dial out of its case. maybe i should read a tutorial
powderfreak 0 Posted June 26, 2011 yeah, just opened the caseback, but i just have to find out how to get the whole movement incl. dial out of its case. maybe i should read a tutorial You need to take out the stem and the ring that holds the movement. To release the stem, you need to press a small button. Best is to check what movement you have and just do a quick google search to find the right button
