just visiting 0 Posted July 1, 2011 Looking for recommendations for a second Pam: - White dial - good lume - date window would be great - power reserve would be awesome (yes I have a wekness for power reserve) - maybe Daylight / Slytech ...still haven't quite figured out the difference (which one do the experts prefer?) - will it look better in SS or a different band? - $100-$300 maybe upto $400 I am trying to avoid buying a cheapie at $99, but not ready to put down $400 for a supercustomized one either Which do you feel is the best deal out there? (Links would be great) Thanks experts !

houndoggie 58 Posted July 1, 2011 White dial PAM with date wheel is the PAM 188 or 251 chrono. The only other white dial PAMs I know of are the 113/114, the 207a, and the 225 slytech sub. non of these have datewheels. On the 40mm side, you can get a PAM 051/049, white dial auto, with date. Some white dial fantasy PAMs exist with date and PR.

I want/need a 251 or other white dial 44/45 mm Pam & it's good to know specific options. I tried to order a 225 slytech from Jimmy @ www.youtube.com/watchcollecterhk but he was sold out. Haven't seen a 225 anywhere else but I know next to nothing.

It took you almost 13 seconds to come up with a dozen models that will fit the bill. It will take me an hour just to look them up ! Jokes aside, thank you for the quick list. I downloaded the spreadsheet that someone put up on this site with detail on every single PAM (not sure how up to date it is), but that would take my peabrain a month to digest. This is very helpful. Bosox 0 Posted July 3, 2011 White dial PAM with date wheel is the PAM 188 or 251 chrono. I've got the 188 with a SS bracelet. Weighs more than half a pound. The dial, except for the date window, is painted and that spoils it for me. Again, a case of most people not knowing, but I do. BTW with all the Panerai fans around, why have I never seen one worn? A guy I saw in a restaurant might have had one on, but he was so engrossed in conversation, I didn't want to interrupt him.
kolchak 17 Posted July 3, 2011 027 is a white dial power reserve I think is the only difference between 27, the 164 Luthier mentioned & the 113, just the power reserve? are all three still available Robert?
houndoggie 58 Posted July 3, 2011 PAM 164 is the best one. Bought from Robert (PWC). That's not a Pam 164. Pam 164 is a black dial auto.

Eventually ill get a 251 but 5 unplanned purchases last week means finding a cheaper alternative or waiting till I sell another piece.

The only white dial auto Pam with date non chrono that I am aware of is the 40 mm 049/051. Luths is probably a fantasy model.
Luthier 1 Posted July 3, 2011 I don't think Robert sells fantasy watches. I asked for 164, and got this. Anyway, it's easy to find 241 with white dial:
just visiting 0 Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) Are the two Pams on this RWI member sale a good deal? One of them (113 without date) has a white face http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthrea...tion-80040.html Thanks Edited July 4, 2011 by just visiting

I looked at the pictures on puretime's website over and over and didn't see any differences. Must be age. The ultimate edition 7753 prices are the same as well. These numbers are truly a maze for the uninitiated.
