Help needed: 3777-01 ZF Or 3878 Spitfire

Recommended Posts

Dear members. Sorry to trouble you.

I’m in pursuit of buying

IWC 3777-01 (ZF factory)

or
IWC 3878 Spitfire (V6F factory).

I am searching for either of those two models on TD pages. There are many watches with virtually same titles (3777 or 3878 markings) and I can not pin point the right ones.
Please help me to pin the correct ones. I am forever grateful.

all the best

You'll mostly find those on M2M, if you're lucky. Keep your eyes open!!

Put up a WTB thread in the M2M section and let folks know what continent you are on.

Check on here, they are divided by factories https://intime06.co (TD over RWI) . But beware, these are old models, it's difficult that they'd be still around now.

These have been around for a while and may or may not be available from a TD. I have had some luck sourcing watches from MaryWatch after giving her pertinent information on models I couldn't find on TD pages.

Also found this info on RWI:

Thanks everybody.
i have co contacted few dealers and hope they can find something.

in case they don’t, do you know which is the latest version of 3777 or 3878 model that hasn’t got issues with movement and can be upgraded with genuine parts (case and movement)?

Any of those 2 are perfect as they are, there's no point to "upgrade" (read: burn money) on them. The only thing I'd suggest is a proper service of the movement.

The ones that would benefit from movement and dial swaps (and maybe case too) are the newer ones with seconds at 6 and 12h counter at 9, because the reps are wrong, since there's no movement that has sec @6 and 12h @9

These ones:

Any chance of showing me the link from a suggested model on Trusty page?
I’m a bit clumsy with this and really don’t want to get it wrong.

Look at the date it was added to the website at the bottom. Just because it's on that website, it doesn't mean that it's actually available. There is a lot of old stuff on there, and the prices don't always mean a lot either.

This is the current ZF IWC range available as from a TD's Telegram Page......

Strongly suggest that you email Mary and ask about one -  [email protected]
