APjumbo 3,031 Posted January 22, 2023 I was thinking the other day about reps that become more popular and collectible as time goes by. The ploprof comes to mind. What reps from 2022 do you think will fall into this category? It would be fun to all vote on “rep of the year” The first one that comes to mind is the JLC ultrathin with properly working moonphase. - oops, I hadn’t realized this came out a few years ago. When looking into moonphase reps I hadn't realized that there were only three or four that had a correct moon rotation. The other rep on my mind is the Glashutte diver. As people look for sub alternatives, this and a seamaster seem to be top of the list. Breitling ‘57 diver has been a great piece Nothing else released this last year seems to be mind blowing. APjumbo 3,031 Posted June 24, 2023 Found this old post of mine. Finally picked up a JLC MUT moonphase. I had wanted it in black and one popped up. I have been collecting for maybe ten years and this is the most dress watch thing I’ve ever had. Someone else posted here about how good this one is and it was on mind mind for a long time. I think it was @tribefan Anyways, just swapped to a nato for the day. I see the appeal of dress watches, and at 39mm this is a great size for my 7.25” wrist. Now I’m down the dressy watch rabbit hole, Breguet Tradition 5097??!! Piaget? Vintage omega? Glashutte 60s that I stupidly passed on a year ago.? What’s next. APjumbo 3,031 Posted June 25, 2023 @tribefan Those look great. I really like the Glashutte 60s I was trying to convince Tango to make a strap for my speedmaster since January but haven’t heard much. I assume she’s swamped with orders. It would be great to have her make up another for my JLC Navy seal and either a matte croc , black hornback or ostrich for this Moonphase.
