olympusdaytona8 4 Posted July 11, 2023 For those of you that saw my JLC Master Geographic conversion, I decided to pop the movement and bezel out of my 2016 Panda build... all it would need is a donor mid-case to cut up (or a DIY spacer), extended pushers, and a stem extension! Thoughts?

My memory is foggy but I believe the garden variety Venus 175 based ST19 Daytona Rep just has a decorative 6:00 chrono subdial. Whenever my mid-case shows up for modification, I'll add the chrono pushers and a crown at 3:00 to the pocket watch case to retain function and just glue the crown in at 12:00 for decoration Edited July 11, 2023 by olympusdaytona8
Buddhabar 4,557 Posted July 13, 2023 It usually happens that the opposite is done... a pocket watch is transformed into a wrist watch. Good idea yours. Can you share pics of the Elgin movement please?

olympusdaytona8 4 Posted July 28, 2023 (edited) I decided to keep the T&Co as a wrist watch, rebuilt the 1933 Elgin with 1932 donor parts, and converted my 6263 using a round white gold filled pocket watch case instead! Bezel was aftermarket, purchased in 2016 off Ebay from Hong Kong, dial was from Jewelry & Watch in Vietnam, ST19 based Daytona was purchased from Mary in 2015, and I cut up a new mid-case so I can still revert the build into a wrist watch with a little elbow grease if desired. Enjoy the photos: I don't own a drill press so it won't have chrono pushers for a while... but at least crown at 3:00 is fully functional! GingerApple 7,302 Posted July 28, 2023 I'm going to try and be very mature about this. That looks lovely.
