Pesman 9,461 Posted November 27, 2023 Conscious I am not really posting rep or gen pics at the minute so here's my separate thread for those of us floating in the fun limbo world of AliExpress sales and homages rather than reps or Brands....is it a Microbrand? Is it a Chinese Homage?.... To start it's my 'accidental ' Addiesdive Quartz 'Yachtmaster ' 200m WR on a green Oysterflex like strap with a buckle..its growing on me! The watch is worth it for the strap.Cost? £50 in the 11.11 sale Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
zulu44gmt 1,046 Posted November 27, 2023 I have this homage, This was my first auto watch, I was deciding between this, and the Seiko SKX at the time .. It has the old, ie Original Steinhart crest and Font. Double red, this version no longer made,,, it was 330 euros at the time. It has an ETA 2824 engine and decent Lume. I opted for the ceramic bezel pushing the cost to $500 US at the time ... I think it's circa 2017. It pairs well on multiple Natos. One of my fav combos is this swedish leather nato, or this Nato.Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

I worried that people may exclude the likes of Steinhart but they are a classic homage company. Luxury branded looks and function with a realistic price. I've had 2 of their chrono Nav II when in my pilot phase. Did I prefer them over my IWC reps? Yes as I knew the movement was Swiss...over my IWC gens....no but I then sold my gens as the expense of the luxury brand felt daft - especially for the same movement. fatarms 7,777 Posted November 27, 2023 I think I've had this watch longer than any other (with the exception of the 16750 from my wife's grandfather) This thing has to be at least 10 years old now.

Tw3 351 Posted November 27, 2023 I grabbed this one tonight as I’ve not worn it in a while. I lusted for the real thing but since I got this I don’t no more. Homages can scratch an itch and help you decide what you like without spending thousands, it’s a couple of years old now and survives 2 weeks in the sea/pool every holiday.

zulu44gmt 1,046 Posted November 29, 2023 Found another!!!I bet everyone had one of these at one time. Always wanted the white one but never followed through. I received from Jackson tse, but it also means I've had this watch for eight or nine years.I think it was around $87.00 at the time. Homages can scratch an itch and help you decide what you like without spending thousands, it’s a couple of years old now and survives 2 weeks in the sea/pool every holiday. I wanted a polar forever, and your right, once the "itch" was fulfilled, mine was a $69 version that aside from the print on your dial looks the same- that big ole crown is too hard to miss... Is your Lume green hands and blue indexes? I had to swap out the clasp, no amount of sanding could sand out the "jankiness" and the self wrist cutting action... Since I use the app I don't have a link but included a screen shot of the seller.Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Tw3 351 Posted November 29, 2023 Comfort wise me the bird and the rattlesnake can’t complain. I’ve had it in for two days at work and two nights sleeping and no discomfort or snags. The lume is blue but you got to catch it at the right angle otherwise it’s not there. The lume and cyclops are the main let down but for the price I can’t grumble. Apologies for the dirty hands. I’m a grafter.

Pesman 9,461 Posted December 4, 2023 Surgess Breitling 01 Triumph HomageA bargain and the power reserve is a nice and accurate addition on a manual wind movement. Pairedwith Geckota leather strap...the quartered sunburst dial is gorgeous The Breitling...A saving of...a lotSent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
Pesman 9,461 Posted December 4, 2023 My Mido GMT homage has arrived. It looks pretty good but is let down by a fiddly (cheap??)GMT movement (definitely not Seiko) and poor, non padded, strap - On a butterfly clasp. It's a shame as the dial(black not blue), bezel and reduced size (40mm v 44mm) are all great! It will scratch the itch but massive quality difference when compared to a Pagani Design. Saving of £1350 v gen though. And here's my, now sold, original Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
