Happy Homages....show 'em

Recommended Posts

Redfire1066

Wearing this today, an Armida 12, the best homage to the Seiko 62MAS by far.

It is a dull day for photos    ...  so I am using a photo I took in a better light back in summer :D.

Bought this of Ali in the sale thinking it was a Breitling homage (Duh!) When it arrived I realised it was Pagani photocopy....sorry design version of the Speedmaster 57
The finish is great and the crystal is astonishing and I have saved £8,500 too boot!          The bracelet was pretty poor so it's now on a Geckota "Jubilee".

I do keep looking at this. I am a lot less snobby now re quartz and smaller watches and it does look smart

You won't regret it there are some great watches out there. Feels like rep factories are starting to really try it on right now especially for Rolexes

So following the successful sale of some, I went on a Seiko NH34 GMT spree to see what was out there. I have to say I'm more than happy with the results,

1. Steeldive Seiko 5 GMT Homage £97 (seiko 5 GMT approx £350- £450) NH34, 200M WR, 42mm, Jubilee Bracelet.

Better colour combo than any Seiko currently available...

2. Pagani Design Longines Zulutime Homage no date green £140.59 (Gen approx £2950) 42MM GMT Mechanical NH34 Movement 200M Waterproof Ceramic Bezel Insert Sapphire Glass

Bracelet okay and appears to match gen, pin adjustment but comes with tool. Wind is super smooth, uni-directional bezel. Green is absolutely gorgeous and a huge relief given my previous PD green. Expensive as brand new model. Will probably move to leather as per gen and buy a blue one in the sale!

Gen for comparison - I prefer orange GMT hand on Homage

f64ddcf932a2359a5a4a2c6cef24ca01.jpg

3. Steeldive Explorer 2 Homage (£104) Gen £loads!!! 41mm, V3 Bracelet, NH34 Movement, Blue Lume, 300M

As@bobbych45 opens his lovely M2M parcel my replacement Homage dropped through the door, finish easily as good as rep and rock solid Seiko NH34 Movement. Bracelet has some nice touches and engraving and I think this a quick adjust that I have yet to work out...

So 3 amazing Seiko driven GMTs for less than a rep....no brainer...now I have to work out which are going to make room....

@Pesman   . .. . ..   as you are the "Chairman of Homages" :notworthy: do you have a particular favorite amongst the many?
