sbrown85 24 Posted January 24 I just picked up a Tudor Oysterdate from eBay. It doesn’t have a movement but I plan to install an eta 2824-2 movement I have from another project. I think the parts are gen but would like someone with more experience with these watches to provide there insight if possible. Let me know what you think. Thank you. fatarms 7,777 Posted January 24 Does the date wheel line up? What about hand pinion size? I'm guessing you'll need to clip and/ or reposition the dial feet?
sbrown85 24 Posted January 24 The benefit of this Tudor is it came with an eta 2824-2 that had Tudor markings to make it an affordable option to the Rolex datejust. The feet and date window should line up. The biggest concern is the hands if they are original. The size may be different but not sure.
fatarms 7,777 Posted January 24 That's perfect then. Based on the engravings, the case and bracelet look to be gen, dial looks pretty legit too. I'm no expert, but the parts seem to have crispness that reps lack. Especially those engravings.
