paulro 2 Posted February 19 No. Complete accident. I hid it on the back of a wood burning cast iron stove. Unfortunately the stove was lit and was burning furiously and had been for hours when I arrived. The glass and bezel had dislodged completely, there was the melted remains of sealant on the glass. It was a nightmare. The watch was still going! Its quite difficult with gen watches. We’d had a break in and they had taken everything that was easily had- no looking behind this or in there etc so I’d taken to try and find places that seemed safe. Its insured so all good. I nearly lost it last year but I won’t tell you the story of the rats……..
Redfire1066 10,946 Posted February 19 @paulro Do you have home & contents insurance? Or any other insurance that may be applicable? When did you buy it? Did you pay by credit card? Is it covered for accidental damage by any of these or perhaps another policy you have? Could be well worth investigating.
