Rextheking 0 Posted April 24 I am currently building a 5517 milsub. I am looking for a dial to fit a genuine 1520 movement. Does anyone know if the center bore is the same as an ETA? I found that an ETA movement can have a center bore of 2.0mm - 2.5mm. Most are about 2.1mm. I am looking for the best dial possible. MQ is ehhhhhhh, Phong is ehhhhhhhh, He who shall not be named won't respond, CAC has one that is beyond amazing but it is for an ETA movement hens my question. Current Parts Phong 5517 case (Best case you can buy at this time. I feel like it is OKAY at best. Needs shape work. May find a genuine 5513 case and modify). CAC Bezel insert (Unbelievable. Highly recommend) Genuine crystal Genuine 7020 crown + tube Genuine 1520 movement Dial: Still looking Hands: Still looking
RolexCollector 111 Posted April 24 Honestly if you take out Minh Qui and Phong that are very low limited option you could see. Probably if you are able to found a 1520 dial plate or if they are able to provide one for you, you could see if Helena Rou could print a costum made for you. I remember seeing some very good example printed by them. Obviously it is just an option, you could also check Rubyswatch. I not see the CAC one, but i believe the eta dial should easily fit on 1520, a lot of gen dial are installed on eta movement so should be working other way around too.

Made me want to build a 5517 again too! Really go for it, the end result will be AMAZING! I build some franken 1680, 5513 and 5514 in the past but honestly i never do a 5517 due to the bad dials available, but this is really really close to the gen! I’ll send a pic when it arrives. I also just got a Whoopi 5513 dial for a special build. That thing is NUTS.
