Grandizer 7 Posted August 30 Hello guys, I first want to say that I currently have 8 super clones and I plan to bring the number down to 3. I think this will cover all occasions without the need to hoard more pieces. I was wondering how others on this forum approach this matter. How many pieces would be sufficient enough for you? please share your thoughts.
Intresting 22,107 Posted August 31 The answer on this forum to the question " How many watches are enough?" is "Just one more". It would be best if you left this forum immediately. Bringing the number of watches you own down? Bah.
SteveA 325 Posted August 31 Just reduced mine from 42 to 16 as I had so many box queens, lost a fortune !But still probably going to get rid of another 4-6.But , here’s the thing I’ve got one on order from Mary .I can’t stop
NCRich 14,130 Posted August 31 Approximately 150. I have no idea why one would think its better to have fewer rather than more watches.
Not That Rich 21 Posted August 31 Somewhere around 120 at present, you can never have enough watches.
deju 2,046 Posted August 31 I own enough, tbh being the UK is turning into a cesspool, my gens are lucky to be worn once a year on holiday. That said the moonie hasn't seen a wrist in 2 1/2+ years. Breitling 3+ years and the panerai 4 years. My reps I even only considered on selected outings. Won't bring my self to wear a smart watch but most comfortable in a casino or an Aragon for daily. Funnily enough I’ve really started to think what I wear, where and when I wear it ,I have few gens and even a few good reps that I don’t want ripping from my wrist.Never thought I’d think like this in the UK ,but our country has become a magnet for every shithouse on the planet. Yeah its so so sad, I hear crap like oh I wear a rep so my gens safe at home but ultimately. If they think it's real you'll get done over for it even if it’s a rep. Not worth the agro rep or gen. The guy who lost his life in London for a rep patek…. Heart breaking!

Junior88 397 Posted September 1 I think I'm somewhere around 80. Not enough. I sold a few, given a few away and ruined a few but I keep adding.

There was a guy who built an entire wall display with probably 150 Panerai alone. I guess if I had 400 reps, then I would want to convert the majority of them to gen. To each his own!

tonyh7 284 Posted September 4 I own a lot of watches. I purposely resist knowing exactly how many as it means I have plausible deniability when interrogated by my wife. You know the conversations that start ‘Not another watch’.
Foxindebox 552 Posted September 4 At one point I had about 70 watches in all. Now down to 16 Gens and 4 Reps. I plan to narrow that down a bit more at some point. I’d love to be a “one watch guy” but I just can’t resist when something takes my fancy…
Junior88 397 Posted September 5 21 hours ago, Grandizer said: Nice! How about your top 3 favorite reps? OOOh..... that's a little tougher. My favourite one I sold last year because I never wore it. A Daytona 6263 Big Red. My PAM 111 is next, and my quartz Speedy rep that @NCRichdid up for me. I should also add that my favourite watch, even above the Sinn, does not have a lot of monetary value, but the sentimental value is unequalled. I'm very attached to my pets, and I've lost several over the last few years. A friend of mine had a dial made specifically for me, with hour markers made from tattoos I have. He then assembled a watch for me, and the amazing @TanGo made a strap for it. It literally is one of my most prized posessions. There is not another like it on the planet.
