Wiz 0 Posted July 27, 2011 I recently received a Seiko 6139-6002 from Megalift for a lume job. Here is the watch as it arrived. I took the pic upside-down hence the weird angle. Watch opened. The pushers are not screwed, they're held in place by some kind of retainer ring, who also prevent the movement from moving into the case. Stem out. Note the teeth just under the crown. These are used to turn the inner diving ring. The watch came with no lume at all, since a few years ago Megalift's brother removed it and tried to blacken the indexes with some drawing pencil. I don't know what he used to remove the lume, probably a sharp blade or something. Anyway, he did a great job damaging the indexes. Removing the hands. Note the fadded areas on the day disc. Relume done! Cleaned and greased pushers. Reassembly. All done! Thanks for watching!
digger2 0 Posted July 27, 2011 Looks great! Wish I had the skills. Interesting hand removal tools, I can see the advantage using those. I also got the idea of buying a small vice after seeing your work. Thanks for showing!

Wiz 0 Posted July 27, 2011 Interesting hand removal tools, I can see the advantage using those. The presto-type hands remover is too brutal imo. I was using it before but stopped after damaging a few hands. Levers are way safer to use, since I do I never damaged a hand again.
