Copy paste to wet your appetite...

Recently, I saw on foreign website that some people were making the vintage Panerai watches by themselvers and sold them with a sky high price, the skill is like playing a steel ball model (better with a modeling background) adoping with a little knowledge of movements, simple polishing and electroplating techniques and tools, surely, a bit of luck is also indispensible, because the pocket watches with Cortebert 616 (= Rolex 618) and Angelus 240 movements are not so easy to get. If there is any, the situation must be that a bunch of players rushing to bid on eBay. Let’s illustrate it by figures.

1. Case and crystal certainly choose the Luminor, the crown, crystal and case back of Radiomir 47mm have thickened versions, but must be bought from particular Anglo-American sellers. That is also the case for copper rings which are necessary for vintage watches.

2, Buy a pocket watch with Cortebert 616 or Angelus 240 movement online first, if that failed, the watch with Russian Molnija 3601 movement is also a nice replacement for the Cortebert 616 movement.
