2824 Reset Keyless Works

Recommended Posts

ffbawd

Made the mistake of pressing in the release button too far on my 2824.

Whats the best way to reset the keyless works?

I've seen that you can remove the hands/dial and reset the lever from the front, or possibly reset it from the back?

Any tutorials that might help me out??

Thanks!

Do you have to disassemble the whole works or is it just a matter of moving the stuck lever?

depends on what is actually knackered when you get into it......

open it up, take some pics and post

Is there any way to reset it from the back side? I read somewhere about removing the bridge barrel to access it.

way more work than its worth, and it will never set right bro. just do it from the front, it really is not hard at all.

This might be a stupid question...

But what is the best way to discharge the mainspring so the watch no longer runs?

Even with the stem out its still ticking away..
