New home for watches and accessories and tools

Recommended Posts

Got this metal cupboard of the 1950s today.

The manufacturer Baisch produced them for medical practices and pharmacies.

It was a pain in the ass to move that old chunk.

Will cover the inside of the drawers with black synthetic leather the next days.

Now I've got a lot of space for watches, straps and tools. :D

Nice indeed ! When I get round to fiddling with the innards I'm going to pick up a toolmakers cabinet for my bit's and pieces.

Have a think about electrostatically flocking the interior of the drawers.

You can DIY with a kit from a craft shop, or there are normally hobbyists locally who will come in and do a "flock" job for a low cost.

It is an ideal way to line drawers like those, and will give an excellent serviceable and professional finish.

I love things from the 1950's. Well, except the people. :)

Even the printer/fax/scanner on top (whatever it can be) looks like it is from the 50's... :lmao:
