Why no straps with hair on them? Or fur? A nice sable strap on a Fiddy, that would be cool....

Only problem is you'd look like you had a ferret strapped to your wrist...

Or sheep skin? Why not a big curly furry sheep skin strap with pre-V buckle? How cool would THAT be???!!!!

:)

now I have an idea of what my straps might look like - I'll probably pass on trying now

Poor guy, I think he is like 16, very earnest, posts up all kinds of straps that no one buys. They just sit there and if you look at the threads they are basically Post #1: prices and pics Posts #2 - #500: "up!" or "bump!" He NEVER gives up on a sale! ;)

There was someone around here who did that to a car - not the buckle, just the sheepskin. Seriously. Mini dressed up like a sheep - looked hilarious but I hate to think what it smelt like inside...

Sadly I never managed to get a photo of it...

I've got Donerix making me an iguana leg hide strap for the 288... I'll post pics, of course, when done.

Quick Brick has a strap that looks like it was made out of Snuffalafagus hide:

So would that look good on a vintage homage? With decorated Elgin 17j movement, sandwich cali dial?

Seller accepted $75 for the Ted Su. The gorilla strap that I bought second hand is on the way, seller refunded me $10 because shipping was less than he expected. Not everyone on RG is a profiteer!

Rob Montana - "The Strapsmith" - expensive but NICE, some really incredible ammo straps...

http://www.thestrapsmith.com/The_StrapSmith/Welcome.html

Nice looking stuff there.

regarding the vintage strap for your 2533 homage, maybe try doing the bleach vintage thing on the strap it comes with... I will on that 2533 homage I have, just haven't got around to it yet.

Yeah, but I am reluctant to do that to a Ted Su.... we'll see.

Maybe I will get a Getat and do it to one of those. You guys say they are so nice.... later, depending on how I like the bleach thing, PERHAPS I could do it to the TS strap or a GS....
