kolchak 17 Posted August 11, 2011 I see people selling watches I'd consider untouchable & wonder which watches in your personal collection you'd never consider selling under any circumstances. Out of ~ 25 pieces the only ones I'd definitely never sell are my SOH V2 chrono rep & a gen B&M (gift from my wife & I'd never hear the end of it if I sold it). 3 of my Pam reps are probably keepers - regatta, 286 & a DSN 25. Everything else is fair game. Here are my keepers... .
greg_r 83 Posted August 11, 2011 Here are my definite keepers: Breit SOH & Rolerai (both currently with BL for repair) Cartier Santos XL Fiddy (only way I'd sell this is if I found a significantly better one).
Del 4,528 Posted August 11, 2011 I don't like making statements like this because they tend to come back and bite you eventually. However, I reckon these three are about as safe as you'll get in my collection.... Seawolf:- I'm with greg on the SOHv2:- PAM288k:-
Member X 91 Posted August 11, 2011 I am a bit of a hoarder so I don't like letting go of stuff even the stuff I only wear once in a blue moon! I just hate getting rid of something then really wanting it a couple of weeks later... lol I may let go of some of my cheapies but I'm not sure I'd ever want to let go of my SOHs or my RA-built 1675... or my blue BK sub that is still with BL... Is it because I love them or because they are rare and I like to have rare things? I'm not sure, probably a mix of both lol
GC 4,532 Posted August 11, 2011 each and every watch in my collection... all of them are keepers!!! but that's just me i guess
pollux1 3 Posted August 11, 2011 Beautiful Sol, and of course gen. When I first started with reps I had two gens and didn't see the point in any more, and certainly didn't "get" Rolex, perhaps it's taken a little maturity but now I see their true worth. AustinTech 0 Posted August 11, 2011 All fair game. Last I'd want to sell is my gen PO, but if I could sell it and use the money towards a new PO chrono 2011, then it'd be gone in a second.
