ReplicaRocketFish 0 Posted August 14, 2011 hey everyone, I havent posted in a while, but I'm looking to buy a new 176. My only concern is the recent movement issues with the 177. Does the 176 also need a movement swap? Thing is I have no watchsmith in the area and I would love to be on the safe side with this purchase. I was thinking of asking robert to get me one, possibly with a movement service. I just wanted to make sure before contacting him with tons of questions. thanks for all the help,
houndoggie 58 Posted August 14, 2011 It does NOT need a movement swap at all. If anything, you may need a movement service at some point down the road. The beat rate irrelevant on the 2 handed base dial 176. Buy the watch and enjoy it. If the movement acts up, get it serviced. This is the same with any other rep as well. Member X 91 Posted August 15, 2011 This is a fair comment ^^^. Yes, it is slower beat than gen, but if someone can tell from several feet whether it's ticking at 5 beats per second or 6 beats per second, I would politely suggest that they sourced a life
