opus9 0 Posted August 15, 2011 A remarkable watch from devon works To quote their website some of the Tread 1's features are: • The belt assemblies are mounted on a central chassis, which allows for the perfect clearance of the moving parts and also creates the illusion that the parts are floating within the case • Four extremely compact microstep motors drive the movement of the four belts with efficiency, exacting power and steadfast accuracy • The lubricant-free pulley system moves freely thanks to the integration of jeweled bearings • A temperature-compensated crystal provides data to the onboard microprocessor that drives four microstep motors • The five-piece case design is made from high-grade stainless steel reproduced in five elements through advanced CNC construction. • The window into this mechanical masterpiece s a crystal produced from scratch resistent and anti reflective polycarbonate with bullet-proof durability. • The Tread 1 is powered by a lithium polymer rechargeable cell that will run for up to 2 weeks on a single charge. Check the Tread 1 in action in the video below. Crazy! Devon Works and a working wristie vid. wristie video regards opus9

AustinTech 0 Posted August 15, 2011 Very cool watch. It's not for everybody, stylishly speaking, but I could see some rich, trust-fund kid - a hipster - really getting some ass because of the watch.
