Electrobrat 0 Posted August 16, 2011 Hi everyone, so the posty has just arrived with my new Pam Luminor Logo A6497 movement from PWC auction. Watch looks superb but I think is DOA. I removed the packaging and hand wound the crown. The second hand ticks round with a smooth motion but the minute and hour hands are both frozen. Help needed please. I'm not sure what to do and hoping I don't have to return the watch. I'm confident that worst case scenario will be having to return but am confident that Robert will get it sorted for me. Has anyone else had this issue? This is my first A6497.
dingle 57 Posted August 16, 2011 It sounds as if the minute hand is stuck on the hour hand. Have you ever disassembled one to take a look?

Member X 91 Posted August 16, 2011 I think disassembly will be needed, but speak to Robert before you do anything as I think he prefers them untouched if he is going to swap them. I'm not sure what the Auction rules were, though - it might have been 'sold as seen'! If you have on choice, they are pretty easy to take apart
Electrobrat 0 Posted August 16, 2011 I don't have any tools to disassemble and would rather send back to Robert to let him sort out.
Member X 91 Posted August 16, 2011 Fair enough! Contact Robert if you haven't already done so and ask what options you have / what the best way forward is
prestigewatchco 2 Posted August 16, 2011 X I had already given him the return details before he posted this thread. Without any tools and no knowledge I honestly can't think why he bothered to post it. No one was going to reach down the line. wave a wand and it would be fixed
