I believe this piece cost $275,000. So servicing would most likely be quite high. But anyone who can afford this watch probably won't care too much what the servicing would cost.

I can't wrap my head around this, it's too much, how the fuck does it work? I fully understand the benefits of the escapement varying it's position, but how does it all "connect", it doesn't make sense

Shit solves everything. Tourbillon movements, famine in Africa, poverty, drought - you name it, shit solves it.
