WebWind 1 Posted August 27, 2011 On my Milgauss is crown facing the right way up, too. If it is gen, he must have some papers, box .... if not and he still insist that is a gen, suggest inspection by AD
chum_2000_uk 0 Posted August 27, 2011 I reckon it's a rep... open it up and find out!

LHOOQ 0 Posted August 27, 2011 At the risk of embarrassing myself on a watch I'm not that familiar with... I'm going to say that's a gen.

Akira 0 Posted August 27, 2011 Shouldn't there be better AR on the cyclops?
LHOOQ 0 Posted August 27, 2011 I agree. Looks gen Thanks, buddy! If I'm going down, at least it's with a guy with a submarine! Granted, the CHS Noobfactory GMT II was one of the best Rolex reps in recent years, but I remember a few tells from By-Tor's old review: Weak date mag and a slightly narrow bezel. (I also seem to remember the insert sitting a bit differently on the rep bezel, but I could be wrong.) You can only see those tells on a straight-on shot, so... score! Of course, your mate ought to just open it up and see. Much easier.
torobravo 9 Posted August 27, 2011 More pics are needed. That crown looks too small to me.

Dendo 93 Posted August 27, 2011 Yeah more pics and better ones needed. And open it up mate - simple and pretty diagnostic. On a different note - just shows us how good Rolex reps are nowadays, that we are having this discussion among this forum's experts!
Miracle 13 Posted August 27, 2011 I took that pic this morning can't get anymore as I'm not with my mate now out shopping b4 holiday
Miracle 13 Posted August 27, 2011 If it's GEN what should he PAY for it no box or papers
Dendo 93 Posted August 27, 2011 Check this - pre-owned for about $4k Crucial thing is to check authenticity - both for selling and/or keeping.
LHOOQ 0 Posted August 27, 2011 Without box/papers? I wouldn't pay much over USD 4000. In London, I guess that works out to about 2500-2600 guineas, and two groats.
pollux1 3 Posted August 27, 2011 Insist it's taken to an AD, have the caseback popped and check the movement and inspect the dial/bracelet/case etc, it's the safest way.
Charleston 0 Posted August 27, 2011 Im going to go with REP...
sconehead 5 Posted August 27, 2011 ...from what I can make out from the pic provided, the handstack seems correct, be aware there are unreliable CHS rep movements out there, but along with this and the tightness of those end links it may be gen...need better, clearer pics to be sure though...
