Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I need help with disassembling this maxi marine diver.

It looks like when I want to remove the dial with movement, It has to be done from top  Can someone help, who already disassembled this watch? Wiz ? Uwe ? Mike ? Or any other modder ?

there is no retainer ring around it, And the dial is bigger then the movement

I removed the stem , and the movement holds there really strong, from the back, no screws no rings, it really looks like the first thing was put the dial with movement and then crystal.

Thank you for your help.

But if I remove the movement, how Will I access the dial, and also put back hands, when I will be unable to remove the dial from the case ? :thumbsup2:

Pull the crown with shaft out, put the case back back on and blow some pressurized air inside the watch, the crystal should pop out, never actually done it myself but I've heard that it works :)

you sure thats not a retainer ring around it? it doesn't look like its the same finish as the case itself.

Ken, that IS a movement holder ring, is just REALLY tight.

Smack movement against your palm, or use a tiny pry bar (screwdriver) and it till come out like this....

Please show me a pic of the FRONT to be sure I am correct.

Last time I had this issue, bezel, crystal, and crown had to come out, back released, THEN mvmnt came out front, but I don't think that's how the UN is.
