Monsieur_B 0 Posted September 12, 2011 Wan't to surprise my GF with a watch and I need your help with suggestions, as I am getting dizzy looking at options. When I got my Tag Pendulum she realized how good quality of reps can be and occasionally we started to check if we find something for her hinghness as well. No luck so far. For help: - She favours the Longines Dolce Vita line (unfortunately I don't know of any accurate reps) - She is more into the square watch case - Although se like the Longine with gold parts I would favour some SS case and strap combo to prevent any issues if gold plated metal wears. - the worst part: she doesn't like stuff from designers who are spacialized in e.g.: clothes, bags... (so no LV and friends) See my struggle? Help me people. Pictures warmly welcome!
greg_r 81 Posted September 12, 2011 Take a look at the Cartier Tank. Similar sort of shape to the Dolce Vita.

Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted September 12, 2011 how about a vintage tiffany&co Rolex sub??? speaking of...any dealers have these things???
myaz 3 Posted September 12, 2011 Take a look at the Cartier Tank. Similar sort of shape to the Dolce Vita. Gotta agree 100%. Just got one for my wife. Though it comes from a "designer", it's a thing of beauty and a timeless design. Deployant clasp in SS, gorgeous blue hands, 28X32 mm, a 2671-2 ETA and has nice heft. Not the cheapest of reps at $295 from Mary.

Thanks for giving a hint. I was thinking about an Omega as well, maybe at the end the watch enthousiast comes out and she will get a Corum Bridge (which she finds too flashy apperently) women... Second option is to get her a slim huge dial watch.

Balad1 0 Posted September 13, 2011 Suggest you follow Roberts auction site and pick up a quartz rep. Most most women don't want to be bothered with automatics. http://www.auctionpwc.com/auction_details....c_search=ladies http://www.auctionpwc.com/auction_details....c_search=ladies

That Gucci looks like it was stored in the sink for a while or is it just me noticing the spots (rust)? Bvulgari is nice imo. but there will be someone outbidding me again. Monsieur_B 0 Posted September 14, 2011 not enought funny comments! how about Patek 24??? I like it. She was tempted to an ss on leather. Maybe that will make the race. Problem is, she is like most of the people getting into reps so she really wants something which is as close to original as it gets. But honestly I can understand that since there are a few friends of her who might have a few bad words about it... again: women...
