Concord C1 Relume for Yannou

Recommended Posts

Wiz

Yannou sent me his Concord C1 for relume. This watch kind of a challenging project, the indexes here are flat, not hollowed like rolex-style indexes.

I used only Tritec Super-Luminova®, the best and undisputed pigments on the market (but also the most expensives).

In order to do a proper lume job, I removed the old factory lume. The major reason for that is that there is no way to know how the old and new lume may react together. Both lumes may contain incompatible chemicals that could lead to the pigments loosing their glowing properties faster than they normally should.

In the end I'm pretty happy with the result. :D

Thanks guys, it's a very nice watch indeed. The stock AR is very good, and with the new lume it just looks fantastic.

Actually my first rep was the C1 with 21J....which was very nicely built for less than $100

This one is powered by an A7750 with extended mainplate and is also very nicely built. It's usually not my type of watch, but I have to admit having it in hands changed my opinion about it.

Isn't that what the TD call Asian Valgranes?

Yes, except it has nothing to do with a Valgranges movement. They can call it a Jaeger Lecoultre Clone if they want, I'm not going to call it that way if it's not true.

+1

The C1 needs to be seen and handled to truly appreciate what an amazing rep it is. The rubber, metal finish, dial, strap, everything is really well done as is everything on this rep.
