mondeov6 0 Posted September 23, 2011 Last Saturday I was looking at some new watches in Narikaa's "dropbox". I was excited to see these two in there. Two watches I really wanted so I ordered them right away. In about 30 minutes I had sent Reg a PM, received an invoice and payment instructions and sent my payment for them. Swift and flawless!! Got to love that! First one is an Omega Railmaster XXL, 49mm with an Asian 6497 handwound movement. The watch is BIG and on the limit for my wrist but it is beauty. "Clean" and very stylish! This specific watch looks very well built. My guess is, it will get a lot of time on my wrist! Price was £85GBP. What I eventually will change on this one is the strap. Rep strap is not bad but the watch deserves a really nice strap. Pictures.......... Next is the Corum AC Deep Hull, 48mm. A while back I bought a TAO Deep Hull homage that I liked very much. The Corum rep was not available then. I decided to buy the rep when ever it became available. And now it is.... This watch differs a bit from the gen. The gen has a day/date function and I think "bolder" 30 and 60 markers. and of course....no glass back! The rep as well as the TAO homage has date only and the rep's date window looks more like the one on the AC Competition model. The rest of the watch looks to be close to the gen though. (Mind you I do not know much about Corum wathes really)...guess you could say "close but no cigar". But.... I like the watch a lot just the way it is, so I really don't care about the above... Pictures.... Thanks' for looking!
Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted September 23, 2011 guess you could say "close but no cigar Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades! Two nice watches there Rolf. 49mm would be at my limit also.

Garry 0 Posted September 23, 2011 The Railmaster is really cool. I was thinking of getting one but I think it would look like a clock strapped to my wrist.

mulder 0 Posted September 24, 2011 I love the railmaster and want one myself. Is the word Sea Master on the back of the case the norm? Everyone I have seen has it.
mondeov6 0 Posted September 24, 2011 I love the railmaster and want one myself. Is the word Sea Master on the back of the case the norm? Everyone I have seen has it. I copied a piece of Baldrick's comment from Balad's thread about his Railmaster...."the RM is part of the series range ..Seamaster / Aqua Terra, so the case-back markings are correct". Here is a pic of a gen Railmaster case-back.... Wouldn't it be nice if the rep had at least some of the markings the gen has on the movement? ..... It really is a lovely watch! kolchak 17 Posted September 24, 2011 Man, they look great - Reg picked you a couple winners. I'd order that RM in a second if I my wrist wasn't just 7 in. enjoy!

mondeov6 0 Posted September 25, 2011 Nice watches- is there a smaller Railmaster out there? There is a 40mm Railmaster with center second available. Not sure about a smaller version with seconds @6 though. I think I have seen one somewhere, but I could be wrong.
