vinnie007 0 Posted September 29, 2011 Hi Folks, I am considering to buy this watch: http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=7220 I was wondering if the pusher at 8 is faux or working, because the text says: "Two Chronograph Sec Needles, One on top of the other.... Both will move and reset at the same time" Does anyone know the quality of these movts? And what are points i should look carefully for when buying? Thanks! cremona 0 Posted September 29, 2011 Pretty sure with the A7750 the chronos work. Wait for a better expert to answer for sure though.

powderfreak 0 Posted September 29, 2011 I don't think the pusher will work. I have not yet heard of an A7750 with a working rattrapante chrono... Here you can see how a rattrapante works: I am actually pretty sure that the rep will NOT do this.
vinnie007 0 Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) I am actually pretty sure that the rep will NOT do this. That is indeed what i was wondering! And if in that case i will go for the PAM253! Edited September 29, 2011 by vinnie007
agntkerr 0 Posted September 29, 2011 First, I wouldn't buy anything from a NON- trusted dealer on this board.
Ollifl 0 Posted September 29, 2011 I wanted the same watch and was told by a TD, "no such a thing yet", ordered 253 instead
Luthier 1 Posted September 29, 2011 Yes, 8'o clock pusher is just a decoration. Buy 253 instead, best Regatta ever. And +1 to aqntkerr - I wouldn't buy from dropshippers either.

fletch1971 0 Posted September 30, 2011 I purchased a 286J from Timeshop (trusted dealer here) and have been extremely happy with it. It hasn't missed a beat since the day I started wearing it. The only issues I have had is a couple of screws coming loose. This was easily fixed with some Loctite. The button at 8 is faux, but I would probably never use this function anyway. I just loved the look of the watch and the tan coloured band it came with. The more I wear it, the better the band is starting to look. The 253 also is a fantastic looking watch and if the faux button bothers you, you should go with the 253, which you have said you will. Have a look at Timeshop.net as they also have a easy to navigate site with plenty of pics and info. I have just ordered my second watch from them. I hope this helps. Luthier 1 Posted September 30, 2011 Almost any site is easy to navigate, and I doubt I'll ever order from the dealer, that sent me a watch with loose screws. But it's just me.
fletch1971 0 Posted September 30, 2011 Almost any site is easy to navigate, and I doubt I'll ever order from the dealer, that sent me a watch with loose screws. But it's just me. As I said it was only a couple that came loose and it was over a period of over a month of solid wear. Other than that the watch has been great and I am simply sharing my experience with someone who is interested in buying the same watch. Also some people may prefer to buy from a website rather then dealing with some of the other trusted dealers. The transactions can be very smooth and hassle free for people new to the world of reps and who may not know as much as some other people. Just my thoughts B)
