Greenhat 0 Posted October 10, 2011 you would not belive it if i told you i used to live in Normandy, and i don`t mean during the second world war Flick the crystal with your fingernail. If it makes a 'plink' sound it's not sapphire, if its a dull tap sound then it is. quelques fois i `m embarresed pour être dans l'anglais dans ici and for that: "sometimes I'm embarrased to be inside the English in here" quelquefois je suis embarrased pour être un Anglais dans ici :boohoo: "Sometimes I'm embarassed to be English inside here" Correct translation would be: "Ici j'ai parfois honte d'être anglais". We don't capitalize nationalities, and "embarassed" is not a French word. Or to fit more with what you were trying to say "Quand je lis ce que les gens ici écrivent, j'ai parfois honte d'être anglais." merci beaucoup
Wiz 0 Posted October 10, 2011 Damnit, now I feel bad about answering curtly... Why can't you always act like a jerk or always act nice? I can sure believe it, I know quite a few people who lived abroad for years and who can't speak the language correctly anymore.
