Well comrades of homages and horology!

After re-installing my Nikon P3 software a few weeks ago, I decided it was the opportune moment today to get some group shots of the collection as it stands so far since I joined this place back in 26/05/2010!

I only came here back then looking for a GMT MASTER II! ;)

The Rollies (Mary & prestige)

Last December I bought one of the Super Lumed 219's! (Lay) It's become my daily wearer of late.. (thanks to Kenny for sorting out the out of sync hour hand!) ;)

And it's been an addictive spate over the last year... (must have been 1 a month!)

033pamgrwp1.jpg

048pamgrwp2.jpg

Maybe one more Pam (Roberts Ultimate 005!) to round off the collection!

I do like the look of the New Explorer II with Orange Gmt hand (+ the new21J 28k beat movement Roberts has mentioned hopefully!)

But they'll have to wait 'till 2012, if there is such a thing as rep collecting in that ominous year! ;)

And a Question to GMT-MASTER II authoritarians!

The GMT Master II I have (From Mary) is based on the Stick dialed GMT 16710. Now do the hour markers look too big to you?

It's one of those little annoyances, but can these hour markers be replaced/modded? Can you get better dials these days? Is it even worth it etc?

Anyway, thanks for looking, I've done my fair share of ogling other members goods on here, 'bout time I showed what I have! :P

Yeah, you got the bug... :P

Great collection! Two in there definitely on my list are the 292K and the DJII, but I hear horror stories about the lugs / screws on the 292K! DJII looks sweet though, very accurate ;) I like all the colours out at the moment, white, black and blue! :dingleberry-nemesis:

Any chance of a couple of wristies shot quite far out to show size? ;) ;)

Thanks for all the comments folks! I really have to show some financial discipline now. :(

The bills are coming in thick and fast this time of year, and inflation is a biatch! Tv license hit me when I didn't expect it £145.50! (I hardly watch the bstrd!) Car insurance just payed (ouch) MOT due (they never let you get away with less than double/treble what u think it's going to be, the hourly rate alone ffs!) Heating oil is a killer $£$£! (65p a litre, 12p when I bought my first batch 15 years ago) God knows what else is gonna sting me :imok:

So, I really shouldn't log on here every day and marvel at all the different species of timepiece! :D

Not tried removing the lugs of the 292K. I fancy getting a light tan strap from one of the trusted makers here, but the strap it came on is good quality so it's a keeper at present.

I had the DJ II serviced as it was a gift for my old man, but it really was too big for his wrist, so swapped him my white Milgauss. And that Milgauss oozes class and quality I tell ye, something to behold! :)

Rolex lowers will hate you for PAMs, PAM freaks will hate you for Rolleys.

So, buy IWC.

OMG! :( You just dove in wrist first! I thought that I needed medical treatment but I defer to you, my good man.

The only thing that I like about that collection of yours is, is, is everything! I should have never bought that first one. Now I'm doomed! :dingleberry-nemesis:

Wow! What a collection! You guys are really turning me into a PAM lover too. I mostly like Rolex, but the PAMs are winning over. I hope to have 5 or 6 of each some day too. I'll keep dreaming for now. :dingleberry-nemesis:

Part time, full time, who cares?? Great collection; and, yes, I agree with the mate: you DEFINITELY have the bug.

BTW: Pams have a habit of sneaking up on you... .

Very nice collection!

I love the PAM359

All you need is some vintage love now!

Don't bother, the 16710 reps are pretty inaccurate.

The shape of the case is wrong, so if someone notices the markers he/she will have noticed

the case way before ;)

Putting in a gen dial doesn't make any sense, for the same reason.

:)

whoa! That's some collection!

If it helps any, I arrived at the old version of this board looking for a Rolex day/date. 6 months later I'm running the place. 4 years and about 60 reps after that I'm STILL buying watches ;)

It's a disease, but one I enjoy :)

You ran the board after 6 months and I'm not even Mod after a year?

Who do I have to fuck around here to get promoted?

Nice collection, for sure!

I still have a long way to go to get whyere you at! I buy them like, 1 at the time and the wait is a pain! Still waiting for my first rep (AP ROO safari) to come back from repairment. Second watch is on it's way (black ceramic sub). Now on the hunting for a Pam 48!

Thanks for the comments chaps!

And thanks for clearing that GMT Q. up Akira. My first rep, asked the dealer to get a spot on one, but I guess at the time this was the best model out there they could find. :dingleberry-nemesis:

"If" I hadn't gone on such a spree these last 18 or so months, maybe I'd be nearly half (nah, 1/4 lol) way there to getting a 3rd hand gen. Then I can imagine it sitting in a box as I'd be too afraid to damage it, that's the beauty of this rep "hobby"! :D
