I have listed the dealer at the end of the post. This watch will be my guinea pig for several mods I have planned. The wait was excruciatingly long because I was excited to compare this budget “noobmariner” with the other subs in my collection. I abhor waiting for anything but this hobby is teaching me how to be patient! The tracking system for EMS did not help alleviate my impatience as it was very slow to update. But, eventually, my package arrived and I must admit I was not expecting much for $48, but I am truly (pleasantly) surprised. Usually normal airmail takes that long. It was shipped from China on October 10 (which is a holiday in CONUS) so I'm guessing this resulted in the delay on my end. Not sure though. The item was shipped immediately after payment was accepted according to EMS tracking. I was expecting around 8 days total, so maybe the holiday had something to do with the protracted shipping time. I'm not a pro modder by any means LOL. But I would like to do the following: - Sand down rehaut engraving - Touch up the crown guards - Remove the bezel insert (double sided tape), sand it down, and re-fit so it sit lower like gen - more recessed - Water proof - crystal gasket, crown gaskets, and case back gasket. I just discovered I need a new case back gasket. This one twisted and stretched badly when I was removing the case back! Anybody know where I can get a noob case back gasket? twall 1 Posted October 31, 2011 The $29 Silix Colamariner (and I would assume the $29 blue dial/bezel Sub, too) has all that's pictured PLUS: -Cool red color -Diver's extension on the non-fliplock end of the clasp (if it's tight, you might not even know it's there). Regardless - that's a good deal! I do believe I have the almost same thing in black (from TS - my first rep, still ticking like a champ!). However mine is a Noobfactory. This $29 Colamariner from Silix (complete with rehaut engraving, crystal 'coronet' etching, AND diver's extension in the bracelet), that has reliablility and accuracy rivalling my TS piece: As well as this 'noobfactory' $48 Miyota-powered black sub from Timesshops (Like I said, just like yours, but black): If you don't agree with my statements that the $29 Silix special is just as good, if not better, a value as the Timesshops piece, that's just ducky. You're entitled to your opinion, as am I. BUT, make no mistake about it: it is an OPINION!! My opinion (to reiterate) is that they BOTH are a great deal! Oy VEH!!!! Pull the corncob outa your nether regions, dude! It's affecting your posts! Just so you know: please don't presume to tell me what I do and do not own, okay? As well as calling my opinions 'unfounded', based on inaccurate assumptions. Thankee. (BTW reduntancy is redundancy, no matter what the reason.
