It's hard as hard.....like turning cement....but, it's got a lovely finish, and the Rhodium in the JR gives it very bright accents. I love this thing....running a schmidt rollerball, it's very well balanced when the cap is posted, and you're gripping the barrel. Tempted to keep it, but it needs a good home.
