How do I embed a youtube video into a post on here?

YThe board doesn't use the tags I am used to.

Just post the youtube link as it is, like this:

h t t p ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDVguQQkRIo

Just leave out the empty spaces inbetween the h t t p, I just put them there to stop the video

from playing ;)

Alternatively, on the post dialog, to the left of the font menu there's a small square icon. Hit it and select 'media'

In the "media URL" box post the direct youtube URL to the video

... you then get this:

In theory, the board should automatically re-write a pasted youtube URL with the necessary extras, but it doesn't always work

What I do, which works, is when I am on the youtube page, I copy the url at the top of the page, then I come here and just paste it.

edit:

slow I am :yoda:

Or use just simply type

then paste the link (no spaces!) and 'close' the link with

maybe it's because you are trying to link simplified youtube links like this:

http://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ

try to use theses from address bar above:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

No I worked it out, the URL got mangled in the middle.

I got stuck until I finally noticed an extra "s" and changed the URL address from "https://blahblah" to "http://blahblah"
