Hi everybody!

Happy I found this forum, it looks nice.

I am looking for a special watch, its a Rolex Daytona. See the picture:

Cosmograph-Daytona.jpg

I hear they make this copy in switzerland with genuine parts from Rolex factory at night when no bosses are working.

Where can I get it?

Kind regards

;Mike

I've received many "serious inquiries" via PM about that watch, mostly on RWI...

As you may know, the Gaytona is going to soon be with sfa and his lovely wife for pictures.... ;)

Not a myth at all. Rolex actually makes that model.

Ref. 116598 and sells for a mere $50,000

They usually. But there were made some high beat 2813s. they are almost impossible find these days.

4813 is highbeat, but as far as I know, it would need some modification to fit in the DSSD I was planning on using it in. something with the height of the hands==???

The gaytona is a modern legend! I hope someday I will try one on but I will never ever buy one = )

Kincaidk -> Your correct, you need a high and one to get the seconds hand to fit

LOL love the picture posted with the outfit, gotta get me on of those

Thanks for the welcome everyone...

cheers

Mike

She will. I suggested it to her, and she said - let me learn more about movements, then I'll post a few good ones in my section.

Serious gal...

This is good stuff about the hi beat 2813s! If Mary can get them and is willing to demand that they are put into the reps she can get, then hopefully we can have smooth sweeping reps that are less obviously replicas...

The 4813s need a higher set up on the hands so they clear the dial, or that's how I understood it, but the modification parts required are hard to get hold of - at least I think that's what TB posted the other week?!
