I didn't care for base models at all until I saw this watch. I'm in LOVE. Definitely a good buy Greg!Love it!

now I like the watch even better. I like the closed caseback versions.

is the rubber seal not correctly seated, btw?

Only just saw this - nope, the thing that looks like the rubber seal is a photography weirdness - it's just a reflection and not actually there.

Nice 111 Greg!

I've sworn off buying also- except the SOH Mary had for sale, Glasshutte Senator, and a Longines.

PS: don't tell Luth you got that from Josh.

I sold my 351 to my atty and planned to replace it because i love the dirty brown dial but may get this instead.

Is the CP supposed to be flat and matte on the 111 and 005? I noticed they are not on those models.

Well... a watch with just two hands isn't for me, that's for sure, but you should tell me everything about strap. It's gorgeous!!!

Size? Where to buy? Price?

Thanks!!!

As much as I love the OEM Assolutamente strap this new arrival from Di Stefano would kill it on the 390!

The Michaelangelo strap with Bronze buckle and bronze stitching:

That's sweet & totally unique. If you don't mind saying, what'd it set you back?

Thanks Mark! It was $250 plus shipping. This and The Russian (post pics when I get home) are special editions. The Michaelangelo is done now so you'll have to find one used or a private sale because Simona isn't making anymore. I should have bought two. It's a SICK strap and buckle. When I emailed about my straps they said the run was coming to an end but there's a chance they'll do more in a few months.

The strap is a cheapie - it's a Meyhofer Cartagena from watchbandcenter.com. They're about €18. Very nice quality though - I have one on my 111m and my 177 too.

Think this watch is going to end up with a BOB Marino on it, though...

Dammit now I know what you mean ... why the heck am I getting turned-on by a strap. Does this forum come with a support network or free consult with a shrink?

just wait frimble.....it only gets worse.... Soon you'll be turned on by spring bars, crown gaurds and cannon pins.

I am about to pull the trigger on the H 390 - has a real subtle, classic and vintage elegance to it. Greg - can you (or anyone else who has one) tell me if they got the tobacco dial right? I ordered the 351M with high hopes, but was ultimately disappointed with the dial color - just did not win me over. I love the tobacco dials and the 390 in pics seem to have gotten it right. Thoughts/comments?

Hi Greg,

I'm getting a PAM 390 as well, was wondering where you got the light tan strap, is that a bob Marino?

Cheers!

Honestly, I can't remember where that strap came from, it was just something I had going spare. It's not a BOB strap, though.

Seriously considering a gen Assolutamente for this watch...

I'll try to get something similar then. But thanks for the idea anyhoo.

Still kinda sick at myself for being tempted into another 44mm pam, but wth. And good luck with the gen strap, the 390 deserves it!

hahaha - I feel your pain.

There's a pretty decent rep of the assolutamente by the way - Toro had 'em recently
