ilikewatches99 0 Posted January 31, 2012 I have a 23J and I need to remove the movement but cannot figure out how to get the crown off. There is no screw and no button to press. Can someone tell me how to remove the crown. The movement is described as Asian 2813 Automatic Calender Movement, 23J It is in a JL Calender Big Date SS/LE. trailboss99 996 Posted January 31, 2012 Artaim has it. Just hard enough to get the stem out remember. Too hard and you will upset the keyless works. Pretty MVT by the way.
ilikewatches99 0 Posted January 31, 2012 Thanks artaim and Night Watchman. I will press the button tonight.
powderfreak 0 Posted February 1, 2012 His name is trailboss99 - same with Luthier, he's not called Powermax!, no matter how often folks try it
ilikewatches99 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Second question, how do I remove the inset pushers? I got the crown out and unscrewed the three tabs but the movement will not come out because of the rods on the three pushers. I do not want to force them out if they are not supposed to pop out. Gentle pressure does not make them pop out. Is there another way or should I push harder to pop them out? Thanks
Luthier 1 Posted February 1, 2012 First - try to push them in, if they will return to previous position - then there's the springs. By the way, it's definitely not a DG2813.
ilikewatches99 0 Posted February 1, 2012 It feels like it has a spring in it but I cannot see one so it must be concealed in the case. I cannot push the stick out from the inside and there is no room to remove it by pulling to the inside because the movement prevents that. The sticks seem loose but I do not see any way to remove them because of the mechanism. I can pull them in slightly and the button does not come in so it looks like the button and stick are not connected. How do I get the sticks that touch the mechanism out? Thanks. artaim 0 Posted February 1, 2012 it's definitely not a DG2813. 2889M?
ilikewatches99 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Here are photos of the watch http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31&products_id=6008 and here is the front. The bezel.. well there is no real bezel it is part of the case. Thanks for the help. Interesting that the movement is not what was described.
Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted February 2, 2012 the pushers I believe have a super small c-clip that holds them in...when you push on them you should be able to see it on the shaft, you will have to remove it and not destroy it in the process
Luthier 1 Posted February 2, 2012 it's definitely not a DG2813. 2889M? No, definitely not 2889M. Different functions. This one has no date on 12.
ilikewatches99 0 Posted February 2, 2012 Could not find any C clips. The pusher rods were very loose so I figured out that I could move them just above the mechanism and slide them out. Got it apart now. Thanks for the input.
