onzenuub 311 Posted October 2, 2009 Singulator, 43 mm World first: A regulator with teeth that can be replaced The Singulator from MeisterSinger - possibly the most fascinating regulator in the world. And a world first with features that no other regulator can boast. Instead of the usual central minute hand, the Singulator has a central hour hand à la MeisterSinger - plus a small second hand and a small minute hand. That's a structure which would make normal cogs grind their teeth in desperation. It's too imprecise because there's too much play. Our solution is a completely new technology called LIGA which incorporates lithography, electroforming and molding. In a precision LIGA of its own. Spring wheel instead of cog. Gearing without play which means maximum precision. The Singulator from MeisterSinger. A little MasterPiece with innovative toothless gearing. Dial/hands: SIM101: white / blued hands SIM102: black / white hands SIM103: ivory / blued hands SIM106: brown / white hands Functions: Regulator with a cental hour Central hour hand Off-central minute- and second-hands Movements: MS.0109, basis Unitas striped pattern on the top surface swan neck fine adjustment screwed glucydur balance threepart wheelbridge blued stell screws solar finish on ratchet / crown-wheel Dimensions: Diameter 43 mm, height 13.8 mm, weight 81 g Casing: sapphire crystal glass back Versions: Dial in white, black, ivory and brown Strap Genuine croco strap
KBH 7 Posted October 2, 2009 Interesting! I'd love to see the movement. Although, on the other hand, it just seems like a much harder way to tell time. I don't see the point of it.

Member X 91 Posted October 2, 2009 Different! I'm guessing that there just isn't space for all the transfer gears to run this arrangement normally? I really should get more up to speed on all my movements
alw 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Meistersinger has for a long time been on my shopping list...

frbe 0 Posted January 20, 2010 For me the most beautiful watch ever! German production. I hope somebody knows a replica for this? Ant Meistersinger will do.
dingle 57 Posted January 20, 2010 For me the most beautiful watch ever! German production. I hope somebody knows a replica for this? Ant Meistersinger will do. looks just like an IWC portugese to me.
greg_r 85 Posted January 20, 2010 For me the most beautiful watch ever! German production. I hope somebody knows a replica for this? Ant Meistersinger will do. No Meistersinger reps around that I know of but as with a lot of the lesser makers, Meistersinger watches tend to look rather like other classic watch brands. If you like the look of that watch, as dingle says, I'd suggest you take a close look at IWC and some of the other brands you'll find at one or other of our trusted dealers (try HouseOfSouveniers or Timeshop for starters as they both have decent web sites with lots of pics). You're likely to see something quite similar.
speedzmaster 0 Posted April 13, 2010 Regulators freak me out.
cybee 0 Posted April 13, 2010 I like the single hand that has 144 markers around it. Each marker represents 5 minutes..Once you get used to it, it's pretty logical...10:25 on this one. If it's dark must be PM LoL.
Baldrick 1 Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) If it's dark must be PM LoL. Not if you're Gran or live north. I want lume, easy to read hands and legibility on my watch, I don't want to be counting minute markers to deduce the time. Baldrick 1 Posted April 13, 2010 It looks like a big air pressure gauge, sorry, just not attractive at all.
graman 2 Posted April 15, 2010 I don't mind the black...but I'd probably end up trying to put an IWC dial in it
