toehh 0 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) On what watch and with which mod did you start back in the days? Did you guys buy a cheapie to practice with or start with the real deal? For instance I would like to waterproof my watch but I am kinda scared that I will f*ck up my watch. Edited February 10, 2012 by toehh

James. 4 Posted February 10, 2012 $16 for me to australia for 3 watches. Cost 100 all up for 2 subs and a sea master. He has a shipping calculator on his che out page so you can figure out the exact amount. I've ordered from him before, cheap, good quality for the price and quick shipping

KeNnY 29 Posted February 10, 2012 yeah cheapo silix watches are good to play..and the ideal types PO,subs etc +1 ! And great for first custom projects... the best way is, you at the beginning scratch something or damage something, you will find some spare part and create some custom watch monster

greg_r 83 Posted February 10, 2012 Could you also practice on this kinda SHIT? http://www.ebay.com/...em=140698111925 Serious reply for once... It depends on what you're wanting to practice. If it's just disassembling a movement from the case, etc, then it'll do. If you're wanting to learn how to work on movements, it might suffice as well, although you're probably better to start working on something a little bit larger and easier to work on - the 6497 is often considered an ideal movement for the inexperienced... Odyseus 1 Posted February 10, 2012 Or you could get a cheapie off Mary and she might be able to supply you an extra dial and hands. Or Get a pilot/PAM type military watch, spare dial and spare hands off the Jackson Tse website
