Onlyone 0 Posted February 19, 2012 I am thinking about buying a pam 292 M from Josh (perfect clones). I read DEL's pictorial review and it convince me ... http://www.replica-w...showtopic=22191 But I still don't know wich strap looks better on it. Josh has 2 kinds of models: A "modern" leather: http://www.1-pc8838....97-p-11411.html I like the strap but I am not sure with the white stitching. Btw I can't find a review or video with this strap. An "old" style leather strap (I prefer the dark brown): http://www.1-pc8838....97-p-11422.html (source: RWI forum) Thanks for your advices!
Del 4,469 Posted February 19, 2012 I don't like the black with white stitching strap - the white stitching is way too thick in my opinion. I quite like the brown strap but I don't think it's perfect with the brown stitching. This watch has given me the biggest issue with straps! The one it came on (the "used" brown strap) didn't really work too well with the white stitching. I've currently got it on a black calf strap with black stitching - just like the gen (see below) and this works really well, if a little boring . However, I've now ordered something a little different again from Daniel at Migliorestraps.......just waiting on it being made!
Onlyone 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Talking about DEL ... ^^ Where have do you bought the gen-like strap ? (black calf, black stitched) And do you have the link from Migliorestraps of your new ordered strap?
Del 4,469 Posted February 19, 2012 Here's the thread about the black calf strap:- http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23608 As for the Migliorestrap, it wasn't a listing so you'll just need to wait and see! Check out his section on here and website to see his work though.
Onlyone 0 Posted February 19, 2012 looks very nice the black gen-like one. But they don't have it in 22 anymore ... sick
Onlyone 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Do you know where I can find the same or very close ? Was it dificult to change the strap ?
Del 4,469 Posted February 19, 2012 Do you know where I can find the same or very close ? Was it dificult to change the strap ? I'm not sure mate. I looked for ages to find this - most other similar straps had white stitching. Changing the strap is a little bit awkward but not difficult. Just don't drop one of the screws on the carpet - they are tiny!
solkryssare 109 Posted February 19, 2012 I'm gonna put my 026K on this BOB straps when it gets here. Bet it would look good on a 292 as well
solkryssare 109 Posted February 19, 2012 Oh forgot you need a 26 mm one. Not sure they have the same in that size but have a look

Del 4,469 Posted February 19, 2012 Oh forgot you need a 26 mm one. Not sure they have the same in that size but have a look That's the problem I found. All the relevant 26mm BOB straps had white stitching.

All the relevant 26mm BOB straps had white stitching. So did mine mate. Nothing a textile marker couldn't fix 1 min job and a completely different look. Gazillionaire 0 Posted February 19, 2012 You want 27 not 26, the wider the better plus same as gen
Del 4,469 Posted February 19, 2012 You want 27 not 26, the wider the better plus same as gen That's true but you'll not find many "off the shelf" 27mm straps, other than gen of course. You'd need to go custom. @Sol - nice job mate!
P4GTR 0 Posted February 19, 2012 Here's one I did for a recent customer. This would look great on a 292. 26/24 tapered black stoned oil w/ sewn in PVD buckle.

P4GTR 0 Posted February 20, 2012 Thanks guys, those are both for Part_Timer. I like how he opted to have the straps done, he's got good taste.
ReplicaFromDownunder 2 Posted February 21, 2012 Del is surely right about the screws. They are bloody tiny, it is a one way trip if you lose one. I have the same issue with my 292. I am finding it hard to find an after market strap. I think the white stitching does not suit this style of watch at all. I have the black strap with black stitching as per Del's. Just like the gen. Looks super sleek on this watch. Don't want to overpower the strap, as the design is flawless...... That is just my opinion..
