spboudart 0 Posted October 12, 2009 200 post! I don't know if you guys were high when you suggested that! Come on RWI is at 50, RG at 100 and here is 200!!!!! WTF, I mean no problem for me but knowing that most of the people that make a sell will do a donation to the forum afterward, that a lot of money the board could use! Maybe you get too much money! I don't know anyone that does! But it it was true then with the extra money: make giveaway! I know I like the place it's smaller that the other foras and different, but with this type of rules it won't grow much bigger! And maybe that's what you guys wanted from the beggining. Cheers
AllergyDoc 40 Posted October 12, 2009 Is that the rule? I was unaware. Best get posting!
greg_r 84 Posted October 12, 2009 No, we weren't high - we thought long and hard about it. To be honest, that limitation is there for one reason and one reason only - to discourage people joining purely to post sales. It happens on other boards and we don't want to see it happening here. We reserve the right to enforce the rule, but we also reserve the right NOT to enforce it Meaning: if you wanted to post a sale, you're more than welcome to do so - we know you're a good guy and you're an active member of the forum If others think it is too high, then we'll reconsider - but I'd far rather make an exception for people we know than to offer it to anyone who drops by, posts in the word association thread and stumps up $25. We want to see this forum grow through content and community discussion - not just for being a place to make a sale or purchase a watch.

So I will post! I actually put up some stuff for sale on the other foras, so it's available for most of the people! But it's also true that some member might prefer RWG1.1 and don't check the sale section of the other fora!

In fact, I would say if you can make an exception in this case (which I support) then I would say you can make one for someone who DOES reach 200. Meaning: if we don't like you, you won't post sales threads with two THOUSAND posts!

RolexAddict 1 Posted October 14, 2009 I am thinking also to complain, because I have more than 200 posts but I am not VIP, but Greg will allow me to sell S300/400 URSS missiles refited for Iran... as he will get good royalties, I assume, all the transaction will be secret through PayPal, -_-
