greg_r 81 Posted October 15, 2009 Looking good! I've often thought that I'd like a vintage-style SD. Maybe once they reach the other dealers we can get them at a good price too

greg_r 81 Posted October 15, 2009 Can Mary get hold of these?? Worth asking, for sure.
KBH 7 Posted October 15, 2009 $198 with clone 2836-2 doesn't seem outrageous to me. I think these are from Taiwan so it may be awhile before they are generally available in GZ. Also according to Josh, the 316f stainless has a different composition than 316L and is noticeably shinier.
greg_r 81 Posted October 15, 2009 True, might be a while - will have to see. Personally, I'd wait - would prefer to buy from Rob or Mary - but maybe that's just me.
AllergyDoc 40 Posted October 15, 2009 I'm interested to know if the 316F really is shinier than the normal 316 used in the reps. Lanikai will post pics on RWG when he gets his.
KBH 7 Posted October 15, 2009 Trevor's got em now, so I guess they will be readily available soon.

greg_r 81 Posted November 22, 2009 PD: have you thought about actually asking the other dealers? Drop Mary, Rob or Lawrence an email...

KBH 7 Posted November 22, 2009 Are these good value at $98 + shipping on Josh's website? what is the price of this from other dealers? Excellent value, IMO. For the price it's a great base to start but needs some mods, particularly the dial color, bezel insert and cg's. Let us know if you find out anything about the other dealers. I'm thinking about getting another one.
P_Diddy 0 Posted November 22, 2009 is this $98 watch the same as the one that you previously bought from Josh for $198? Was the movement in the $198 watch, Asian ETA clone? KBH 7 Posted November 22, 2009 is this $98 watch the same as the one that you previously bought from Josh for $198? Was the movement in the $198 watch, Asian ETA clone? Supposed to be. Only difference is the A21j instead of Eta clone. I haven't bought a $98 one yet. The interesting thing is they are supposed to be a new movement, high beat 2813. When they should be using a nice slow beat in a vintage, they screw it up by putting a hi beat in it. Go figure..... The $198 is Asian ETA clone. I've been real impressed with the time keeping so far.
