Newb saying hello

Recommended Posts

JayZed

Hi there,

Just popping in to say hi. I've lurked off and on for a while but finally decided it's time to collect. I have a single flea market $20 Tag rep that I've worn every day for almost two years now.

Currently I'm trying to find something along the lines of the gold/black Rolex Daytona but with a larger face and non 7750. Not having much luck... I have very specific taste and am picky as hell.

Anyways, this place is amazing and I look forward to continuing my trek down the rabbit hole with you all.

Flea market $20 TAG, and picky, like hell???

:D Not enough lurking, go read our thread for a week or two, you'll get plenty of knowledge. Stick with our trusted dealers is the Rule #1.

And welcome to the Forum!!!

If you are going to be picky, then you are at the wrong place, my fren. I suggest you buy a gen. There will be hickups, there will be imperfections and if you are not ok with that, then youre in the wrong hobby.

Welcome though :)

Ha! I just meant picky in my aesthetics.

I have a large wrist, large forearms, large hands. So they have to look right on me. Most mens watches look like womens watches on me.

Then, man, you have no any idea, what'd you talking about. Daytona is 39mm watch, it will looks laughable on you.

My wrist is 8 1/4", and I can't wear Daytona, or any other watch, smaller, than 44mm.

My wrist is best suited to a plopropf or a Hublot Diver.

That's what Watch International just told me. The current rep I wear is 43mm and it looks decent on me. No complaints at all.

I had it in my head that the Daytona was 42 or 43mm. Shoot...

That's the price you pay for being my size. Not much in this world is meant to fit me. Luckily, this giant watch face thing is popular right now so I have more options!

How about a good old PAM then... PAM 000/005/111/247 (44mm) and 127 (47mm) are popular reps... Watchinternational (Mary & Rochest) currently have a special price going on on some of them... check out our Trusted Dealers section...
