My vintage Daytona plan is coming together

Hi guys,

Some of you may have read my previous post about my plans, but everything is motoring along now, so I thought it justified a new thread.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a Newman for months, but always found something else to buy instead. I have finally ordered a 6241 from Trevor- fantastic dealer btw (although not a TD here).

This is the watch I will be receiving:

I want it on a really nice strap. I had considered either leather or croc in black. The other thing I quite wanted was a curved end strap. After some investigation, it turns out Donerix can use a curved end mould for his straps, if you supply him. as such, this will be by far my most expensive strap, but hopefully worth it.

I have supplied him with an 18mmx16mm Hirsch Medici leather strap. He will use that to make me a curved end, double ridged black Cayman (19mmx16mm) for the watch. I have also ordered a Rolex buckle for it.

I'm not sure how the double ridge will look, but I've got a feeling it could be awesome.

Needless to say, I'll post pics when it arrives.

I'm crossing my fingers that it will work as well as I'm hoping. I think it will. Eric seems to think so too.
