5512 PCG Build in progress

Recommended Posts

scope

While waiting on the right Daytona parts I have started a 5512 build on the cheap. I have

started with a 5512 Josh budget and have a Ingod dial on the way. Used a smaller crown which is sunken closer to the case and just have a little more polishing to do.I have drilled the lugs and installed the correct spring bars and a J@K T19 plexi. Let me know what you think

Yeah, Josh's crown guards are pretty stubby so I changed the crown to a smaller one and sank it as close to the case as i could get

and turned it into a pointed crown guard.

Is this for a 21j? Any chance you could link to where you got the shorter crown?

Looks great! Will take a closer look when I'm not viewing on my cell, but everything looks perfect on this little screen

Ooh, must have missed this before. Great looking watch, makes me even keener to get on with my project, although mine will be built by someone who knows what they're doing rather than by me!

How did you drill the lugs? i have a bench drill but don't think it would be accurate enough

Lol I did the same on my 6152...3 bits I was wondering if am I doing this wrong?? Even bought drill lube and ice every 5 seconds...

Worked but still went through more drill bits than I thought necessary.

The bits were cheapies that I picked up from Northern Tool. This store is home to many one time use cheap tools.
