Rolex GMT Master 1675 *Pepsi*

Recommended Posts

madcatlancelot

I saw this Rolex GMT master 1675 from Trevor (http://v.yupoo.com/p...albums/3676718/) and asked him whether he has this watch with the blue/red (Pepsi) bezel. I've always admired the 1675 from RolexAddict's sales threads, but never had the funds to get one.

So when Trevor replied that he can get a 1675 with pepsi bezel I immediately placed an order. The GMT master 1675 came with an Asian ETA clone movement and a rivet bracelet with hollow endlinks. Here are some photos:

The datewheel is nice and centered.

The crown guard and twinlock crown looks nice.

The plexiglass is not too tall, but tall enough to get noticed.

Bidirectional pepsi bezel and drilled lugs.

Single foldover clasp, 1535 rivet bracelet with 71N hollow endlinks.

One more photo for good measure. :)

I checked the lume and it glows, this version that I have has a white embossed lume dial markers.

Big thanks to Trevor for picking up this watch, it's a beauty!

thanks guys for the comments.

Here's a wristie to complete the mini review. I finally managed to resize the bracelet, the screws are very small. :)

cheers guys, I'm just happy to share.

Now just put it on a jubilee bracelet

Either that or an oyster bracelet, good thing the rivet bracelet's turned out ok, this will be my bracelet for now. :)

Another thing I noticed is that the plexiglass is also better than the 21J version that I had before, this seems to be comparable to Clarks plexi in terms of quality.

Added a lume shot, not bad eh?. (taken at 1/10sec, F2.8, ISO 800)

Wow. That looks fantastic. Way better than Josh's 1:1 monstrosity that came out recently. I just might have to pick one of these up. Does he also have the black insert or just the Pepsi? I wonder how the case compares to the Cartel 1655 if you were to use this as a base for a franken project versus using the 1655 as the starting point. Do you know if this will take any gen parts?

I clicked that link and it isn't opening a full menu. Does he have this with a 21j instead of the ETA clone? The 21j is a true GMT movement and the low beat is closer to the gen beat rate. Just curious... I might hop onto Trevor's full site and see if I can find this.

Nice watch indeed ! and very interesting,

the dial looks very good with white and consistant printings, the bezel ring is also like the real thing,

if the maker use these cases engraved 5513, the good thing is they have the slim profile as the gen 1675/16750 cases, and mods consist only to re-drill lug holes and remove metal from the bottom of the CG area, very easy.

The negative : a gen dial or an aftermarket like NDT or Yuki will not fit.

Its a supposition, may be the case is different and has the inner rehaut diameter at the right specs

I will probably order one, this could be the way to produce 1675 at half the price
