So is this cosidered a PAM or IWC? Never seen that before, looks like an IWC movement/dial transplant into a Pam case.

Anyone knows details or something about the history of that piece?

Looks like a custom build hybrid - I know of no shared build history between IWC and Panerai - interesting hybrid, though.... hmmmm

WHAT I THINK IS THAT LOOKING AT THE DATE OF THIS WATCH ,DURINGTHE WAR I GUESS THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF GOVERNMENTAL TENDERS FOR MILITARY WATCHES FOR MARINERS THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE WATCHES WERE PROBABLY SPECIFIC IN TERMS OF DESIGN SIZE ETC...

SO I GUESS A LOT OF MANUFACTURERS USED THIS DESIGN

BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY THE WATCH IS DATED 1920 I DONT THINK THAT THEY MADE REPS IN THOSE DAYS ;) OR DID THEY? :P

The patent for PAM Crownguards is from 1956, the " IWC " from 1915, LOL

I was going to say, that looks faaaar too new and there are some historical inaccuracies in there with regards to timelines and development of the PAM case, IIRC!! :D

Please don't type all caps - it's considered as SHOUTING...

Secondly, you're being a little gullible, I'm afraid. The watch is a fake - at best it's a gen IWC mechanism transplanted into a rep Panerai case...

It's been done with Pateks for a long time too. Could be a gen IWC pocket watch movement in a Chinese PAM case.

wrong, very wrong... this is a recent, present day brand-hybrid rep - period.
