Thought I would bring you up to speed on this 1601 quest.

My first gen Rolex was this

89ac692c.jpg

1977 1601 Datejust

What Ihave bought so far,

gen 1601 case w/acrylic crystal

gen 1601 engine cut bezel

gen 6mm crown and tube

I have read in my research that the ETA 2824 is the movent that will fit this case.

I have an ETA 2824 in stiock but need i vintage DWO

* Remember, there is always a possibility for your watch to be vintage model 1601 and quick-set dial will not fit it in. Or your watch can be counterfeit – in this case out dial will be absolutely useless to you.

Gen Dial question,

So, my question is, with planning a 2824 engine, does it matter what dial I use, quickset or non-quick.

The dial feet are going to have to be repostitioned or removed, right?

The differance in dials should not be mm size but dial feet postition because of the

1570 non quick to

the 3035, right. If so, either a 1600 series or a 16000 series dial will work when modded

I will also get the correct movement spacer to mount the ETA

and the correct DWO...

I think a correct oyster bracelet would be best for me.

However the correct rep bracelet is really confusing

Any insight you can give with be much oblidged.
