Hi all - my names Dave and i'm from sunny Birmingham in England. I've got one replica watch from PureTime and its a lovely watch but i'm after a specific replica - the Longines Moonphase Master Collection but no-one has them in stock as they are older models. I paid for one via Kingwatch but the QC pics they sent were a bit rough so trying to choose another watch from them - a Seamaster most probably. The one problem is they say all their seamasters have the hack movemet, even in the more expensive Swiss movement. I assume this is correct - sounds strange as most reps have the sweeping movement or have they got their English wrong on the site? Never used Kingwatch before. May go for a refund if they will oblige.

Hope to post some pics of my collection soon - only have he one rep so far but i'm sure that will change soon.

Dave

Hello, and welcome to the forum. Best to do a lot of reading. Kingwatch and Purtime are not Trusted Dealers (TDs) here. Best bet is to email a picture of the watch you are in search of to Watch International or Toro Bravo to see if they can source the watch you are after. And yes, after more reading, you best hide your credit card, as this can get expensive fast!

Welcome mate.

Good luck with your search. For older difficult to find models it is probably better to use a TD like Watchinternational who don't rely on websites for their orders, but who will put in a bit of legwork on your behalf to find that hard to locate watch. Send them a photo and they will tell you if it is available.

Hello and welcome, the 'hack' function refers to the ability to stop the second hand to facilitate synchronisation with a reference.......I think. :D

Thanks guys - i'll hunt out the links to the Trusted Dealers as i've always loved that Longines Moonphase and would love to add it t my collection. PS re the hack movement - i think you're right, its a sweeping movement as the hack function is about stopping the second hand. Much to learn, will get some pics of my collection up soon - can have a game of spot the rep amongst them! Cheers guys
